The Jungle is disgustingly enough, one of my favorite books. I find that a lot of what Upton Sinclair wrote still rings true today. When I recommended it for one of my book clubs, I felt I needed to lighten the mood and create this drinking game to loosen the blows of having to hear about animal and child abuse. Bon Apetit!
Drink when:
Someone dies
Ona blushes
The word "consumption" it uttered
Jurgis says "I will work harder."
"weakened constitutions"
References to "God Almighty"
The words "toil" "souls" or "life-blood" are uttered
Drink twice when there is:
hyperbole
*Congrats, you're drunk after the first chapter!
